Day 2 :

The early hours offer prime wildlife viewing in the cool morning air.

Following your safari, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive northwest toward Volcanoes National Park. The road weaves through Rwanda’s lush, quilt-like hills, dotted with banana groves and tea plantations.

On arrival, check in at your lodge, then stretch your legs on a guided village walk—a window into Rwandan rural life, rich with smiles, stories, and vibrant culture.

Day 3 :

Gorilla Trekking & Visit to Gorilla Guardians Village

Rise early and head to the park headquarters for coffee, briefing, and a lively performance by local dancers. You'll then be assigned a gorilla family group and driven to the trailhead.

Your gorilla trek—anywhere from 1 to 8 hours—takes you deep into the forest. Rangers will guide you using fresh signs and radio updates.

Once the gorillas are found, you’ll have one precious hour to observe these majestic primates—watching juveniles play, silverbacks posture, and mothers cradle their young in the mist.

After lunch and a well-earned rest, visit the Gorilla Guardians Village. Enjoy traditional Rwandan music, dance, and cultural performances, including a mock wedding ceremony.

Day 4 :

Golden Monkey Tracking & Musanze Caves

After breakfast and another warm welcome at the park HQ, set off on a short hike through the bamboo forest to track golden monkeys. These fast-moving, playful primates are often easy to spot, making for lively photography and memorable moments.

Return to your lodge for lunch, then continue to the Musanze Caves. Don a helmet and follow your guide into these ancient lava tunnels, where locals once took shelter.

Return to Kigali & Optional City Tour
