Day 1 :

Entebbe to Murchison Falls

Your guide meets you in the morning for a short transfer to Entebbe Airport, where a light aircraft waits on the tarmac.

As the plane lifts, Uganda’s patchwork of wetlands, farmlands, and scattered villages stretches beneath you. An hour later, you descend over the Albert Nile, landing at Pakuba Airstrip in the park’s northern sector. A short drive brings you to the lodge.

After settling in, head out for an evening game drive when the low sun throws long shadows and wildlife stirs from the heat of the day. Return to the lodge for dinner and a quiet night.

Day 2 :

Morning Game Drive and Boat to the Falls

At first light, the savannah glows pale gold. This is the hour when lions patrol, elephants browse, and hartebeest graze in the open. Your guide follows winding tracks through Borassus palms and open plains, scanning for movement.

By midday, you return to the lodge for lunch before setting out again—this time by water. The Nile is wide and slow here, with hippos rising and sinking like drifting islands. Crocodiles lie still on sandy banks.

As the cliffs close in, the river’s pace quickens until you reach the base of Murchison Falls, where the entire Nile funnels into a narrow cleft before exploding into foam. The spray hangs in the air, cool and sharp.

Cruise back downstream as the light softens.

Day 3 :

Delta Cruise and Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, you board a boat headed downstream into the papyrus-lined delta, a haven for birdlife. The rare shoebill stork sometimes stands motionless in the shallows, while African fish eagles patrol overhead.

Herds of kob and buffalo gather at the water’s edge. Keep your camera ready—the delta offers a different rhythm from the falls, slower and quieter, but rich in life.

Return to the lodge for lunch, then head out again across the plains for an afternoon game drive, ending the day as the sun dips toward the western horizon.

Day 4 :

Return Flight to Entebbe

Your final morning in Murchison is unhurried. After breakfast, your guide takes you back to Pakuba Airstrip for the flight south.

From the window, the park recedes into a mosaic of green and gold. Land at Entebbe by late morning, connecting to your onward journey or overnighting nearby.
