Day 1 :

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport or from your city hotel, your private safari guide will meet you for a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda’s Musanze province.

The park is home to over 360 mountain gorillas, with several habituated groups open for visitation. After check-in at your lodge, enjoy a relaxed evening with dinner and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 :

First Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the Kinigi Park Headquarters for a safety briefing led by expert rangers. You'll be assigned a gorilla family and begin your trek into the misty forest.

Depending on where the gorillas are that day, the trek may last between 1 to 6 hours. Once you find them, spend a full hour quietly observing, photographing, and soaking in the moment.

After returning, you may opt for an afternoon visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, an inspiring initiative where former poachers now work as conservation ambassadors through music, dance, and storytelling.

Day 3 :

Second Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today offers a rare opportunity: your second gorilla trek will introduce you to a different family group, allowing for a deeper understanding of mountain gorilla behavior and habitat.

This second trek enhances your chances of witnessing varied interactions—be it silverback displays, playful juveniles, or nurturing mothers.

Day 4 :

Kigali City Tour & Departure

After breakfast, you'll drive back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a guided city tour that includes a moving visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a stroll through colorful craft markets, and insight into Rwanda’s inspiring rebirth.

Later, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your outbound flight.
