This thrilling 4-day safari blends two of Uganda’s top destinations—Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You’ll track the endangered mountain gorillas deep in the misty jungle and marvel at their incredible presence.

From there, continue to Queen Elizabeth, where you’ll enjoy a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga Channel and explore the savannah in search of big game. You’ll also have the option to trek chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge or go on a classic game drive.

This itinerary offers a rich variety of Uganda’s finest primate and wildlife encounters, packed into a short but unforgettable journey.

Day 1 :

Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Forest National Park

Your journey begins early as you depart Kampala or Entebbe for the southwestern highlands of Uganda.

En route, stop in Mbarara for lunch and enjoy scenic views of terraced hills, tea plantations, and rural countryside—earning this region the nickname “the Switzerland of Africa.”

Arrive in either the Ruhija or Buhoma sector of Bwindi, depending on your assigned trekking group.

After checking into your lodge, you may take an optional community walk to meet the Batwa pygmies and enjoy their cultural dances and storytelling.

Day 2 :

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Wake up early and head to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing.

With your packed lunch and plenty of water, embark on a journey through dense rainforest in search of a gorilla family.

Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing their behavior—watching mothers groom their young, silverbacks stand guard, and juveniles play.

After the trek, return to the lodge for rest and overnight.

Day 3 :

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Depart Bwindi and head north through the Ishasha sector, where you may spot tree-climbing lions lounging in fig trees.

Continue to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park for check-in and lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, teeming with hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a stunning variety of water birds.

Day 4 :

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge or Morning Game Drive, then Return to Kampala

Choose between two experiences:

Trek chimpanzees in the lush Kyambura Gorge, listening for their calls and tracking them through the forest.
Or enjoy a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where herds of Ugandan kobs, buffalo, and elephants roam—and big cats may be spotted hunting at dawn.

After your morning activity, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with a lunch stop along the way. You’ll arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
